Yes, you don’t need to book an appointment or to have an account to visit us.

Please note, for a purchase over $4,999 make sure to have a personal identity document with you as it is required for verifications purpose pursuant to Australian Law. This can be your driver’s licence, medicare card or passport.

In store: We can help you to open an account at our office. Please make sure to bring the following forms of identification: driver’s license, passport or medicare card.

Online: The process to open a Goldtrex account is straightforward and only takes few minutes. You will need to enter details found on your driver’s license, passport or medicare card.

Sellers need to come into our office and fulfill the following requirements:

  • The product must be a recognised brand.
  • We will buy-back any product sold by us as long as you show us the invoice for it.
  • The price for the product we buy-back will be the ‘buy-back’ price on our website at the time that the customer sells back to us.

We only buy pure gold and silver, which could be either cast bars or collectable coins.

Goldtrex will only make payments for any precious metal via electronic transfer to your nominated bank account.

Unfortunately no, we don’t buy jewellery.

If you come at our office and buy gold / silver up to $5000.00, personal identification is not required.

If your purchase is over $5000.00, a proof of identity will be required.

Our prices are live and updated every 2 minutes on a countdown timer visible on Goldtrex website. Live prices are available for all products shown on our website.

No, GST is not applicable for 99.99% pure gold and 99.99% pure silver bars and coins. However, only one product in our stock attracts 10% GST, namely 1kg silver granules.

A Troy Ounce is a unit of measure, used to gauge the mass of precious metals.

1 troy ounce is equivalent to 31.10 grams and 1 kilograms is equivalent to 32.15 troy ounces.

Orders are sent as soon as the funds are fully cleared into our bank account. Usually, the shipment is delivered within 1 to 5 days across Australia, nonetheless a small delay may occur based on certain products’ availability.

All our products are shipped in mails or parcels with a tracking number via Australia Post or Sendle. As soon as the shipment is carried out, the tracking information is sent to your email address.
